Universidad privada ubicada en Middletown, Conn.

Fue fundada por metodistas en 1831, quienes la nombraron en honor a John Wesley. Sus lazos formales con la Iglesia metodista terminaron en 1937. Wesleyan ofrece licenciaturas y programas de posgrado en 50 campos principales de estudios, entre los cuales se cuentan cerca de 12 programas destinados a los grados académicos de magíster y Ph.D. en música y ciencias. Las instalaciones del campus comprenden centros para estudios afroestadounidenses y de Asia oriental, un observatorio astronómico, y un centro de humanidades y artes.
